Hey there – thanks for stopping by!

I wanted to introduce myself here so y’all could understand me a bit more and take a peek into who I am, what I do, and why I think the way I do.

So here goes…

Here’s a picture of me from a few years back donning a company t-shirt and drinking Philz Coffee

My name is Andrew Luong and I work in technology sales in the Silicon Valley.  Aside from this, I also am a real estate investor, Realtor and mortgage loan officer.  I have a huge passion for all things technology and finance.

As I began my career and saved up a bit of money, I wanted a place to park this newfound capital.  Savings accounts, certificate of deposits, stock, bonds, etc. just weren’t my thing (don’t get me wrong, I still own these but am not quite a fan as I am of real estate).  That being said, as I continued down the path of personal finance, I discovered real estate as not only a great vehicle for investing but it also happens to be fun and not as intimidating as it appears.

Segway this to the present day and I’m now the owner of 6 rental properties (this will grow based on my goals and projections) and have completed fix-and-flips.  In no way have I ever been a writer ( maybe if you count my childhood love letters!) but it has always been my dream to share my experiences and learnings so maybe others could also benefit from this.

Ten by Thirty was my original goal – ten properties by the time I’m 30 by way of one property per year.

Following suit, Ten by Thirty is geared towards people that have a cool career and think it’s not possible to grow a career while also amassing an investment portfolio, for those that have seen/heard about real estate but just don’t know how to get started, for those who want to live costly area but want to invest in housing, and also for those that simply wanted to see how I’ve done it, step-by-step.

So there you have it.  Come join me on my personal path to financial freedom and hopefully I could learn from you as well!

– Andrew
